Getting
there
Getting to Mélisey is quite
straight forward.

Main Routes through
France:
From Dieppe:
Take the N27 through Totes to Rouen. Through Rouen follow the
signs to the A13 and Paris. Join the A13 motorway to
Paris. There are many routes through Paris. The A13 will
take you to the Perifique (a 5 lane motorway/inner ring road of the
city). Other travellers prefer to follow the outer ring road
(D105 / Farncillien). A green Michelin map, "101 -
Outskirts of Paris", is available and shows roads around Paris in
detail. Leave the motorway at Auxerre sud. The slip lane
from the motorway joins the D965 just outside Auxerre, turn left onto
the D965 and follow it through Chablis to Tonnerre.
From Calais:
Follow the A26 to Reims. Follow the by-pass through Reims and
leave on the A4 towards Challon sur Marne. Shortly out of Reims
turn onto the motorway towards Troyes. Go past the exit to
"Troyes Centre" and then past "Toyes East".
The motorway divides shortly after this. Take the Paris /
Orleans direction and then take the first motorway exit. This is
1 mile from where the motorway divides, it is at "St Thibault"
and it is labelled "Tonnerre. After the toll booth there is
a roundabout, take the third exit labelled "Tonnerre".
You now need to take the first slip road that you come to a very short
way along this road. It is labelled "Chaource".
At the end of the slip road there is a T-junction. Turn left
onto the D444 and follow it all the way to Tonnerre.
Local Routes:
From Troyes:
As you approach Tonnerre there is a small left turn, which will take
you through Chamelard to Meliséy. It is probably safest to
travel all the way to Tonnerre and turn around at the first roundabout
that you come to when you reach Tonnerre and then follow the
instructions below.
From Chablis:
Go straight over the first Tonnerre roundabout and follow the by-pass
to the second roundabout. At the second roundabout turn left
towards Troyes (coming from Troyes you will have gone right round this
roundabout and back up the road that you came down). After 200m
this road turns to the left. On the corner there is a right
turn. Take the right turn and follow the road. Stay on
this road as it passes into open countryside. After
approximately 2 Km you will pass through the village of Vaulicheres.
After Vaulicheres the road becomes a 1 km long uphill straight.
At the brow of the hill the road turns sharply left. Follow the
road as it turns left and then follow it for approximately 3 km to Meliséy.
